La Mandarine has an interesting family history. Christelle Tancev, the owner of the brasserie, is the granddaughter of the famous Liège restaurateur Amédéo Candeloro, founder of "La main à la pâte". Her father, Dragan Tancev, is also a restaurateur and runs the 'As Ouhès' and 'Le Régina' restaurants.
